The floor
A product has to sit at 4.0 stars or higher to appear. That is a blunt filter. It drops a lot of cheap listings that look fine in a thumbnail and fall apart in the 3-star pile. It also drops interesting new launches that do not have a rating history yet. We accept that miss. This catalog is for proven daily buys, not for being first.
The score
Rank = star rating × log10(review count + 1). A 4.2 with 40,000 reviews outranks a 4.9 with 40 reviews. Log so that going from 100 to 1,000 reviews still moves the needle, and going from 100,000 to 200,000 does not run away with the page.
Guides add labels on top of that score: best overall, best budget among items with enough reviews, most reviewed, highest rated with a 100-review minimum. Those labels are derived, not sold.
What AI does
Ask AI searches this catalog in plain language — “earbuds under 1500 for gym” — and answers from the same ranked pool. It does not invent ASINs. It does not browse Amazon live. If the catalog does not have a match, it should say so rather than hallucinate a hero product.
Quick verdict on a product page is a short, on-the-spot read of the listing we already store. It is not a lab test. Treat it as a second opinion on our own data, then still open Amazon.
What we do not claim
- We do not claim to have used every product in a test kitchen or photo studio.
- We do not claim live prices. Confirm on Amazon.in.
- We do not claim India-wide stock. Pin code availability is Amazon’s.
- We do not sell placement. Affiliate links pay when you buy; they do not reorder the grid.
- We do not replace Amazon’s warranty, returns, or seller ratings.
Budget pages
“Best earphones under ₹2,000” is a cut of the same catalog: category match, price at or below the cap, then the same trust score. If a budget page looks short, that is the catalog telling you few items in that band cleared 4.0 — not a reason to invent fillers.
